DHI Hair Transplantation

DHI is an advanced version of the FUE technique. Like FUE, it involves extracting individual hair follicles from the donor area usually the back or sides of the scalp — but differs in how the follicles are implanted.

In DHI, the follicles are loaded into a Choi implanter pen and directly implanted into the scalp in one seamless motion: no incisions or channels are made beforehand. This reduces scalp trauma and gives the surgeon complete control over the angle, depth, and direction of each graft.

The result is dense, natural, and precisely placed hair, with minimal recovery time and no visible scarring.

Advantages of DHI Hair Transplant

  • ✅ Maximum Control: The implanter pen allows for perfect control of depth, angle, and direction, ensuring a natural look.
  • ✅ Higher Density: Grafts can be placed closer together for fuller results, especially in the hairline or crown.
  • ✅ No Channel Opening: Minimizes scalp trauma and bleeding.
  • ✅ Faster Recovery: Reduced tissue damage means quicker healing and less post-op discomfort.
  • ✅ Minimal Scarring: No stitches, no linear scars — ideal for those who prefer short hairstyles.
  • ✅ Improved Graft Survival: Immediate implantation preserves follicle health and viability.

Who Is a Suitable Candidate for DHI?

DHI is ideal for patients who:

  • Want a natural-looking, dense hairline
  • Prefer a minimally invasive, fast-healing procedure
  • Have early-stage or moderate hair loss
  • Wish to fill in specific areas such as the temples or crown
  • Are seeking precision and high aesthetic quality

Our specialists will assess your hair type, scalp condition, and medical background to determine if DHI is the best option for you.

How Is the DHI Procedure Performed?

  1. Consultation & Design: We analyze your scalp, discuss your goals, and design a custom hairline.
  2. Extraction: Follicles are extracted one by one from the donor area using a micro-motor device.
  3. Implantation: Each follicle is inserted directly into the scalp using the Choi implanter pen — no prior channel creation required.
  4. Completion: The procedure takes 6–8 hours depending on the number of grafts, and you return home the same day.

Local anesthesia ensures a comfortable, painless experience, and our team supports you throughout the entire process.

Recovery and Results After DHI

  • Day 1–3: Mild swelling and scabbing are normal.
  • Day 5–7: Scabs begin to fall off naturally.
  • First Month: Transplanted hairs may shed — a normal part of the growth cycle.
  • 3–4 Months: New hairs begin to grow in.
  • 6–12 Months: Full results are visible — with permanent, natural-looking coverage.

We provide detailed aftercare instructions, special shampoos, and continuous follow-up to ensure healthy healing and optimal growth.
